Hayabusa + Corolla FX = ?

Well not much in terms of updates but a couple of weeks back i started to get a really bad exhaust leak. That started to get me thinking about the time when i bought a hayabusa muffler to put on a car...well guys i did it and it's actually pretty quiet and looks pretty kool thanks to Tesh from Monkey Wrench for doing a good job on a snowy day.

Soo...both of my friends have the same car but plan on going in different directions. My boy Quique has a 87 SR5 with a fresh dark nimbus grey paint job, it's auto and dropped on a set of stock wheels for the moment, he's going to keep it clean.

And then you have Charlie, mind you these guys are best friends from childhood and now it's almost like a partnership and competition to have two very fresh Corollas. Charlie has his own style, his own manual 87 SR5 he likes cars to be clean...but also slammed and on big wheels and he'll pay whatever price to reach perfection...check out the before pics, because the after will be out of this world!!!

For anyone putting a SR20DET in a S30 chassis, ahh just stay away. What a pain in the butt this has been trying to get things to work with limited tools, limited knowledge on old Datsuns, and a really long engine bay, this is where i'm at right now trying to get the motor in, i'm aiming for a second round KO!

This past sunday 7/10/11, a good friend of mine named Bishnu Dinanauth passed away. He was only 25 years old and was racing his S14 240SX on the highway against a fellow tuner and lost control of his car. This has been a huge wake up call to me for speeding and racing on the streets. If you tune your car to go faster or even enjoy the adrenaline rush of racing your car, please keep it on the track. I lost a great friend and from now on his parents, siblings, family, friends and the tuner community will suffer knowing that Bishnu, the nicest, realest, funniest, and most easy going person you can ever meet has gone to another world. I hate to have to think about him passing but i will do better smiling thinking of my boy helping me out whenever i needed it whether if it was a car related issue or personal, i'll remember him for all his funny jokes and stories and the rides we took to pick up his 240's, he was a Nissan head at heart but always had a place for any tuned car and showed a ton of respect. I would like to pass this website along which will keep his memory alive forever, God has one more angel in his kingdom and just like he never let us down here on earth, he will never let us down in heaven, Bishnu i miss you and may your soul rest in peace, look down on us and protect us...

My first Club Loose event, these are the guys to watch. I admit that i'm not a fan of drifting too much because it's not timed, but it is the most fun you can have as a spectator or a competitor. Amatuer drifting is where it's at, 4's and 6's running like hell! These guys are real drivers.

As I might have said on my last update for MyRolla I had a couple of leaks on my motor that I needed to address. One of them was an oil cooler line which just had to be removed and then put back on correctly, and this coolant outlet gasket that some one decided to use honda gasket maker on...

New Manifold and NST Pulleys

I took a week off to get some stuff done to my car. I had bought a few goodies like NST Pulleys and new a Canon Weber manifold which costs me a pretty penny...but new is always good...right?

First things first...take the carbs off:
Well i also made a boo boo, didn't grease the pulley and didn't take my time to get the key way in so i ended up fucking the dual row pulley up...oh well $130 down the drain.

Meanwhile this came in...Canon Intake Manifold $337 shipped...ouch...but ooo
Oh nice a Toyota box...what's inside?
Two brand new intake manifold gasket...just incase i fuck one up
Ok well NST sent me another pulley, this time a red crank pulley, single row too, pretty...
Had to drill my own brake booster hose lines on the manifold, kinda scary when i just paid $350 for this shit lol
Aluminum...soft but strong...how? i dunno i'm not a chemist

It's going to have an S13 SR20DET with a GT2871RS turbo and a ton of other goodies...including a haltech e6x.

Sooo... it's been a while, I've been slacking on the blog but hey i'm a New Yorker theirs only like 1 hour in the day i have to myself half of which i spend in the shower.

Anyways back to what i'm doing here... a 1972 Datsun 240Z project for my Dre who's currently folding towels in Afghanistan. I fou
nd this car in great running shape off a craigslist ad over in Pennsylvania and drove it home...a whole 150 miles...not fun in a old car with a damaged choke that i had to hold down the whole way home. But the car is safe and sound waiting for funds to reach me so i can get the floors repaired and start injecting some new age performance in this baby.

Hey guys i was just browsing the internet and here we have it...
The new AE86, Toyota's version is said to be out sometime in 2011 and Subaru's version hasn't received a release date. But for those who don't know it's a partnership with Toyota and Fuji Heavy that is making this possible. With Scion you get sporty/quirky vehicles aimed at a younger audience but i guess Toyota is going to try and cut back into that segment with this vehicle. The specs aren't confirmed yet but it is said to have a 2.0L Subaru flat 4 which is rated at about 165hp and from what they've been saying it rides on a shortened Impreza platform converted to RWD, yay. This Bastard nut wouldn't go back on the tranny cross member but i have a solution to that bwahaha...for another day though :(

So i decided to paint my rear calipers with this neat little kit i bought a while back

And i decided to take out my oil in anticipation of my oil cooler lines being upgraded and for my new magnetic nut thats in the mail as i write this
